When Brighton Kithendu walked into our offices yesterday, I could not guess what his visit was about, so I had to wait to talk to him to find out.
Brighton is a 5th year Engineering student at Moi University, and here is the reason for his visit. Several months ago, Brighton was working for Safaricom Kenya as an intern, during which he got to learn a lot as well as interact with the group behind the success of this multi million company. During his internship, there was a staff sports day and a raffle was running on the same day. Brighton and the rest of the staff were enrolled.
Fast forward to Yesterday 27th January 2014 and Brighton is the grand prize winner and he walks away with an iphone 5 (s) alongside other winners. Exciting right? Wrong! For him, he would rather get cash as opposed to a prestigious phone. The first born in a less privileged family of 5 kids, Kithendu has to pay his campus fee as well as educate his 2 siblings who are still in school.
Brighton sought our assistance in helping find him a suitable buyer for his newly acquired silver iphone 5(s) still in the box and sealed. Selling price KShs. 75,000 down from the KShs. 120,000 retail price in the shops. Alternatively, he is ready to trade it with a laptop which he needs to do his project in school as well as a small amount of cash to top it up.
So if you are interested in buying a phone to see someone through campus, here is your chance.
